The exams for all Higher Certificate students are here, and it is time to flex that beautiful brain muscle of yours. But never fear my iQ Brothers and Sisters, we are here to make sure that you go all the way to distinction land. Masibangene!

Exam Venues

If you have registered to write the June exams with the exams office you should have received an sms with your exam dates and venues as well as an e-mail with a map to guide you, should you get lost. So please register!

iScope

All roads to distinction land pass through iCan. Your lecturers have placed all the instructions for your exam preparation and scope for each module under the heading “Exams” or “Examinations” for each of your courses. There you will find the scope and for some courses, you can even find previous exam papers as well as podcasts and videos. You will also find assignment feedback, so log on to iCan!!!

Leave of Absence

Lastly, in the event that you should fall ill; or there is a death in your family; or you have an unavoidable work commitment so that you are unable to write your exam on the set date, you can apply for a leave of absence and get another exam date. To postpone an examination/s, students must have a valid reason and submit supporting documentation as follows:

  • Letter from the company advising that the student is unable to write
  • Medical certificate in the event the student is ill
  • Death certificate in the event of a death in the family

The application must be made to exam@iqa.ac.za. You can find the application form for leave of absence on iCan as well!
